academia maker is a branding and visual identity project developed for an educational platform focused on steam learning and emerging technologies. the academy operates as both a digital and physical space where children, young people, adults, and teachers can learn new technologies in an accessible, contemporary, and engaging way.

the project was built around the idea of technology as an enabling tool, not a barrier. academia maker positions learning as something approachable and progressive, removing fear around technological change and allowing users to grow at their own pace. the academy is primarily oriented towards teacher training and youth education, offering courses in robotics, programming, 3d printing, 3d design, graphic design, and digital skills, ranging from introductory to advanced professional levels.

the visual identity was conceptually inspired by 3d printing and construction logic, particularly the idea of layered production, perspective, and pieces that fit together without external fixings. the logo is formed by two “a” shapes that interlock to create an “m”, connected through a central node, evoking building systems and children’s construction games. this concept translates into a brand that feels modern, playful, and trustworthy, supported by a vibrant colour palette that moves away from traditional educational tones in favour of contemporary and youthful combinations.

my role included the development of the complete visual identity and brand strategy, close collaboration with the client and multidisciplinary teams, and the application of the brand across multiple touchpoints. the goal was to create a brand that could connect with young audiences while remaining credible and reassuring for adults and educators.
