about the project
clator is an athletics club based in la orotava, founded in 1994, with a long-standing history of national achievementsand a strong commitment to grassroots sport and young athletic talent in the canary islands. this project was born from the need to reconnect with its community and establish a coherent visual language across all communication channels, while conveying the vision of a strong, forward-looking sporting environment.
the project involved a complete brand redesign, from the logo to its applications and official sportswear, ensuring that every touchpoint reinforced a sense of belonging and collective identity. it was developed around two main pillars: the brand identity, conceived as the foundation of a new era for the club, and the sportswear system, designed as the primary medium for communicating the brand’s values both on and off the track.
my role focused on the development of the brand redesign and its applications, the design of training and competition kits and accessories, and the creation of a consistent visual identity for social media, including content creation and graphic direction. the overall goal was to build a brand that felt clear, adaptable, and emotionally connected to its audience.
result & outcome
the result is a contemporary and versatile identity that preserves the essence of clator’s founding values, family, effort, and perseverance, while translating them into a more legible, flexible, and recognisable visual system. the new brand has been embraced by the team itself, becoming a shared symbol of pride and ownership.
this project reinforced the importance of respecting a brand’s origins as a source of strength. by transforming existing elements rather than erasing them, the identity gained authenticity and continuity. throughout the process, i expanded my knowledge of textile printing, brand application across multiple formats, and social media management, while learning to listen closely to the team and allow their voice to be expressed through design.
